We started Autumn in jumping lessons when she was 9 but she fell off a bit too much so she got a year of dressage training with Sheri Dumonceaux to teach her how to ride properly before she was allowed to jump again. In the mean time Autumn had also set her sights on becoming a legendary freestyle skier and trained with Fernie Freestyle, she has even skied with some of our National team athletes. But the horses won that battle of the heart, and at the end of the 2019 ski season Autumn made the decision to focus her training on horses and started training with more regularity and year round instead of once a week in the summer leaving skiing for recreation.

Through our relationship with freestyle skiing we had become accustomed to having more than one trainer. This becomes very evident as the athletes progress to a Provincial or National level where there is a head coach and a number of specialized trainers also working with the athletes.

By the end of the 2022 season Autumn was feeling that she was no longer progressing in the sport with her current trainer and was wanting a change.

In July of 2023 that change was made and Autumn is currently Riding with Trademark Stables and being trained by Canadian Olympian Lisa Carlsen and Dayton Gorsline. Lisa is still a frequent member of Canadian Nations Cup teams. Dayton is the jumping youth development program advisor for the Equestrian Canada Jumping Talent ID Program.

Autumn is also training with Serge Zayika and Take Off Equestrian out of Birnam Wood Stables.

The 2023/2024 winter season marked Autumns first year of international competition as she began training and competition at Desert International Horse Park in Thermal California with Lisa Carlsen and Dayton Gorsline.
