2022/2023
OffSeason Overview

Autumn had a very successful year training and showing on 3 horses, Sephora, Ginger, and Ballerina in 2022 but ended the season struggling with distances and timing. Autumn continued to train 3 days a week during the off season with her focus on fine tuning her riding skills. Ginger was sold and Ballerina is up for sale leaving Autumn to focus and train on only one horse.

Autumn started the 2023 season with the Spruce Meadows indoor series held over 3 weeks in March/April, training and competing in 1.0m - 1.1m & 1.15m jumpers. It was very apparent that she had regained her confidence in judging distances and her riding skills had reached a new level.

Horse Expo Canada in Red Deer Alberta was the next stop for a clinic with Robert Gharibzadeh where he helped to show Autumn how to keep her focus on maintaining her position on the horse, her and her horses posture, and overall performance in the ring.

RMSJ Bow Valley Classic weeks 1 and 2 started the outdoor season with Autumn moving up to 1.2 meters on Sephora.

The high-lite of Autumns season so far was during a visit to Valleyfield Farm where owner Ellicia Edgar gave Autumn the opportunity to ride her 1.6 meter Grand Prix jumper Messenger VF. In a very distant second was her first clear round and win at 1.2 meters.

Spring 2023

This show conflicted with Autumns school schedule in 2022 and we were unable to attend. We have confirmed that the dates will not conflict this time and will be there in 2023.

Every person form the barn Autumn trains at cancelled and we did not have the time to locate a competent trainer that would be there and willing to take Autumn. The cost of bringing her trainer on our own made little sense as the cost is typically split between 10 to 12 people.
